A Cuyahoga Falls man who was accused of murdering his wife in February died by suicide last month, according to Gary Guenther of the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.

James Rimal, the husband of Chandra Maya Poudel-Rimal, was found hanging in his cell at the Summit County Jail on June 9, Guenther said. He was transported to Akron City Hospital, where he died just after midnight June 10.

The cause of death was anoxic brain injury due to hanging, Guenther said. Rimal was 33.

Rimal originally reported Poudel-Rimal, also 33, as missing on Feb. 21. Her remains were later found almost a week later just a few miles away from the house they shared with three children. Her death was caused by strangulation.

Rimal was charged with murder, felonious assault, strangulation, tampering with evidence, domestic violence and abuse of a corpse.
