Last Thursday, agents from the South Central Drug Task Force (SCDTF) made an arrest following a successful execution of a search warrant at a residence in Ocilla. According to officials, the search yielded a significant quantity of drugs, including tablets suspected to contain fentanyl, associated with a criminal street gang.

The search warrant, executed on July 11, involved agents from the SCDTF, Ocilla Police Department, and State Police, targeting a home on East 5th Street in Ocilla.

During the search, investigators discovered more than 84 grams of suspected cocaine/crack cocaine, over 68 grams of tablets suspected to contain methamphetamine and cocaine, and a bag containing over 8 grams of suspected fentanyl tablets. Additionally, digital scales, packaging materials, a loaded firearm, and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized.

Following the search, Stanley Holcomb, also known as "Chill," was taken into custody.

Officials stated that their investigation revealed connections to a local criminal street gang known as the "Gangster Disciples." The investigation also led to the apprehension of Chadney Edwards, who had an outstanding felony probation warrant.

    SCDTF officials stated,

"The citizens of Irwin County don’t want these types of substances distributed throughout the community nor available to the young people which live here. Any information of drug distribution or criminal street gangs will be throughly investigated. The SCDTF appreciates information from the public pertaining to illegal drug distribution.
