Coffee High School proudly announces the ribbon cutting of its new, state-of-the-art NJROTC Multipurpose Building. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held today, attended by NJROTC cadets, band members, cheerleaders, football players, and softball players, all of whom will benefit from the cutting-edge facility. Many community members, teachers, and staff were also in attendance.

The new facility boasts lockers, storage, two classrooms, air gun range and a turfed field designed for NJROTC practice and competitions. It also features a layout that can accommodate five marching pads for large drill team competitions, enabling participation from multiple teams from states throughout the Southeast. The turf is marked for use as a traditional football field as well as soccer field. The indoor area is large enough for the band to practice their halftime show and marching routine.

Guests at the ceremony included Mayor Tony Paulk, Chamber Chair Ben Floyd, Bryan Preston , Board of Education vice-chair, veteran and school system supporter Mr. Jerome Loving, and NJROTC lead instructor Debra Woods. Superintendent Dr. Morris Leis commenced the event with a presentation of colors by the CHS NJROTC. Principal Van Allen highlighted the facility's benefits for a wide range of students, emphasizing its role in fostering academic and athletic excellence.

Thanks to the ESPLOST vote on November 6, 2018, this vision was able to become a reality for the students of Coffee County. This NJROTC Multipurpose Facility is a testament to Coffee County voters and the Coffee County School Systems commitment to providing its students with exceptional resources and opportunities.
