One individual and one team are set to join the Midlakes Athletics Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held next month.

This year's honorees include 2014 graduate Sean Peacock and the 2007 boys volleyball team. The combination, along with Midlakes' 2023 inductees, will be recognized in a ceremony set for Sunday, Sept. 29 at 86 in Geneva.

Peacock exited Midlakes as one of the school's most accomplished wrestlers. He holds an all-time record of 256-30 with 152 pins. Peacock won the Division II 113-pound state title as a sophomore in 2012, and followed with runner-up finishes as a junior (120 pounds) and senior (132).

A four-time All-Greater Rochester selection and three time Daily Messenger wrestler of the year, Peacock wrestled for four years in college -- first at the University of Buffalo, followed by SUNY Brockport. Peacock has been an assistant coach for the RIT's wrestling team since 2021.

The 2007 volleyball team finished with the best record in school history (24-1) en route to league and Section V titles. Ten members of that team were name first-team all-league selections, including All-Greater Rochester player of the year and Section V Class B MVP EJ Wells-Spicer.

Other team members include: Ben Allen, Aaron Burnett, Jake Clyde, Tony Cordero, Dave Crouch, Josh DeBoover, Tyler DiCicco, Mike Dhalle, Sully Fratto, Erin Kelly, Tony Mineo, Dan Mowery, Ethan Shendenhelm, Ryan Teed and Ben Uveges. The group was coached by Kyle Salisbury and Adam DiCicco.

Tickets to attend the induction ceremony are $40. Checks can be made out to the Midlakes Athletic Hall of Fame and mailed to Ali Masso at 5236 Overlook Lake, Canandaigua, New York, 14424. Payments can also be made on Venmo to @MidlakesHOF.
