Don’t wish away Christmas
There’s always that question, “How did you get through this?” Now, the ‘this’ in your life can or could be the loss of a loved one. Or you lost a friend. Or the words cancer. Or the phrase divorce crept into your life. Or the fact your family might not be the reflection of perfection that jumps at you from the posts and photos portrayed on Facebook or in other areas. The conflict of wishing for a great life shoots at you like a star blazing across your heart. And, as you know, pain and sorrow and hurting days land like...

Marketplace Issues
The rise of online marketplaces and expedited delivery services has created an environment which allows shoppers to very conveniently search for the perfect gift for friends and family. Daingerfield’s run ends in overtime at state semifinals
, In the week leading up to the state semifinal round, Texas Football’s Matt Stepp called it “the cruelest round of the playoffs.” It was going to be that way no matter who won Friday’s game at Randall Reed Stadium in New Caney – the Daingerfield Tigers or the Tidehaven Tigers. On one side, a team looking to add a seventh title to an already proud tradition. On the other, a team who hadn’t been this far in the playoffs since 1981. Two proud teams, two of the final four in the state in 3A Division II, and sadly, one of them would...
