Ward enjoyed all moments teaching students
HINTON — Linda Ward took a non-traditional route to become a teacher. She got a degree in education as an adult and she ran the early childhood program at Walthill, Neb. From there she taught 17 years at Hinton Elementary School, which is where she retired as a first grade teacher.

HOLSTEIN — Eighth-grader Brady Dunkel sent a short dribbler towards the shortstop which was enough to bring home the runner from third base to score the winning run as Hinton won in walk-off fashion 7-6 over Lawton-Bronson in a Class 2A district first round game Saturday at Ben Lasher Memorial Field.
