Henry Langdon worked over two decades in the Dallas County road department.

Langdon recently retired after several years in the job. The Dallas County Commission gave Langdon a retirement plaque at its commission meeting on May 13.

“Henry Langdon comes from a good family and good stock,” Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn said.

Dallas County Commissioner Connell Towns said Langdon always delivered when the county called upon his services.

“I appreciate what you did in my district,” Towns said. “You will be missed.”

Dallas County engineer Anthony Crear said Langdon’s work is well-known across the region and will be hard to replace.

Langdon said he enjoyed working with Nunn, the county commissioners and serving the community.
