For the first time, Klyde Warren Park will light up the sky with a double fireworks display for its annual Independence Day Celebration , shot off from buildings on both sides of Woodall Rodgers Freeway.

Kit Sawers, president of Klyde Warren Park , is behind the innovative addition to the park's much-anticipated Independence Day events. This year, they aim to offer an unforgettable experience for attendees, introducing new elements to keep the celebration fresh and exciting.

"Our fireworks are really, for the first time, going to be shot off from two buildings on either side of Woodall Rogers," Sawers revealed. "So there's always something new to look forward to even if you come every year."

The park has always been a hub for social connection, especially after the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. "We've really been fortunate, especially since COVID, being able to get everybody back together," Sawers said. "People are just looking to be with each other and celebrate traditions with each other."

Along with the dazzling fireworks display, the event will feature top-notch entertainment with beloved performers returning to the stage.

"We have back by popular demand two artists who've played in the park before," Sawers noted. "One of them is Grace Tyler . She's actually from Frisco, and she's an up-and-coming country star. She's moved to Nashville, and she's terrific. And then Angel White , who's won all sorts of awards and accolades, will also perform."

Accessibility for attendees has been thoughtfully considered, with new parking solutions and alternative transportation options made available.

"We have a new partnership with Plaza of the Americas, which is just two blocks down Pearl Street from Klyde Warren Park," Sawers explained. "They have 800 parking spots. They're making them available to our guests for $5.75 all day ."

Once at the park, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities in a festive atmosphere. "Not only will we have the fountain and all the amenities, but the food trucks will be out in full force," Sawers said. "We'll also have different games and activities, caricature artists, things like that for families to enjoy."
