Patrick Mahomes Made His Opinion of Mavericks' Klay Thompson Move Very Clear

Patrick Mahomes is a huge Dallas Mavericks fan. Throughout the Mavs' playoff run to the NBA Finals, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was a frequent courtside attendee in Dallas.

The Mavericks came up just short of their ultimate goal, falling in a 4-1 series to the Boston Celtics. But, the franchise is already making moves to prepare for another run next season.

On Monday, the Mavs added free-agent shooting guard Klay Thompson on a three-year, $50 million deal.

Mahomes took to X with a simple reaction to this signing, posting three flexing emojis.

Thompson averaged 17.9 points per game shooting 38.7% from behind the three-point line this past season. While the 34-year-old guard isn't exactly the player he once was, he'll still be an excellent scoring addition to a team headlined by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Thompson reportedly had more lucrative offers from four other NBA teams, but ultimately elected to join the Mavericks for a chance to go after his fifth NBA title.

Mahomes and the rest of the Dallas fanbase hope Thompson is the piece that gets the franchise over the championship hump in 2024-25.
