Malik Hooker reveals which Cowboys star should get paid first and it's not Dak Prescott

It's no secret that the Dallas Cowboys have some stars to pay big bucks to this summer, but who should go first?

Cowboys veteran safety Malik Hooker shared his list in order of who should get their money first on a recent episode of " All Facts No Brakes " with Keyshawn Johnson.

According to Hooker, the Cowboys should start by paying star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb before they move on to make quarterback Dak Prescott, guard Zack Martin or defensive end Micah Parsons happy.

“Micah still has a lot to prove ,” Hooker told Keyshawn Johnson. “He's a fantastic player, but I feel like Micah still has a surface that he doesn't even know that he can scratch as far as what he's doing. So I would say Micah is last just for that reasoning. I'll probably say Zack Martin would be after Micah for the simple fact of like Zack, you know what he's done in the league, and you know he is who he is. Like you know he's gonna be there. I would probably say CeeDee first let me just go there, I'll probably say CeeDee. I got high praise for Dak too, but I say, yeah I say CeeDee, I’ll put probably Dak second, I’ll put Zack and then Micah. Micah got to wait man, he’s still young dawg.”

Paying Lamb first actually makes the most sense since he has made it clear that he's the least happy with Dallas and skipped out on spring workouts altogether.

There's also a chance he doesn't show up to training camp or even requests a trade if he doesn't get what he wants sooner rather than later. And the Cowboys can't afford to lose him.

Sure, Prescott, Martin, and Parsons deserve their extensions, but they've all been patient with Dallas.

Making Lamb happy seems to be the priority move right now before he's starring in another team's offense in 2024.
