Man fatally shot by officers outside 'illegal game room,' police say

One man is dead after he was fatally shot by officers who responded to an "illegal game room" in Dallas' Cedar Crest neighborhood early Thursday morning, police say.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of S. Lancaster Road, Dallas police said.

Police said officers answered a call for a robbery in progress and when they arrived, three people fled the game room.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at an officer and was shot during a struggle, police said.

Police said the man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other two suspects were arrested.

No officers were injured during the incident.
