Jerry Jones will be headed to court later this month, but this time the Dallas Cowboys owner will be the plaintiff.

As the Dallas Morning News reported , a jury is scheduled to hear a case from the Cowboys owner claiming that a woman and her daughter breached a contract over their claims that he is the younger woman's biological father.

Alexandra Davis had initially filed a defamation lawsuit against Jones and three other defendants claiming they carried out a "false and purposeful character assassination attack" after she had sued to establish paternity. A judge later partially dismissed the lawsuit, which was re-filed in November and dismissed again in March, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Jones had filed a counterclaim, which is now set to head before a federal jury later in July.

Chip Babcock, lawyer for the Cowboys owner, said they look forward to the issue being settled in court.

“It’s a case where the judge has given it very, very thorough and careful attention and we’re looking forward to trying the case not as much for the money, although there’s significant money involved, but rather to uphold the fact that when you make a deal and one side lives up to the deal as Mr. Jones did, the other side should too,” Babcock told the Dallas Morning News. “Our view is that they didn’t live up to it and we did.”

Jones has other pending legal issues. He faces a lawsuit alleging sexual assault which was recently delayed until 2025.

As WFAA reported , the lawsuit had originally been filed in September 2020 by a woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe claiming that the Cowboys owner "forcibly grabbed her and kissed her on the mouth in September 2018."
