Legendary Michael Irvin’s sports bar makes a touchdown in The Colony

THE COLONY (KDAF) — Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is launching Playmakers88, an upscale sports bar and restaurant, with a two-day grand opening starting this Friday at 5 p.m. Expect live music, stand-up comedy, and celebrity appearances on day one.

The excitement doesn’t end there! On day two, enjoy event giveaways, autographs, and photo opportunities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plus, a portion of the weekend’s proceeds will support the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Dallas.

The contemporary restaurant features a recreation of the Ring of Honor with photos of “The Triplets” — Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin. There is even more Dallas Cowboys memorabilia at the bar area .

Spanning 7,000 square feet, Playmakers88 offers a bar-top, lounge, and booth-style seating for over 250 people. With 50 flat-screen TVs, surround sound, upbeat music, and a pool table, it’s the perfect spot for sports enthusiasts.

And let’s not forget the food! Celebrity Chef Rassuan “RJ” Johnson leads the kitchen, serving dishes like crab cakes, chicken wings, pasta, southern cuisines, and seafood entrees.
