    Wings Hold Off Fever Despite Clark’s Historic Night

    DALLAS—The Dallas Wings used a late surge to beat the Indiana Fever 101-93 despite a record setting night for Fever rookie Caitlin Clark on Wednesday.

    With 19 assists in the defeat, Clark set a new record for most assists in a single game in WNBA history. She also has the Fever record for most assists in a season. Clark scored 24 points.

    Notre Dame graduate Arike Ogunbbowale scored 24 points to lead Dallas in scoring. Odyssey Sims also had 24 for the Wings.

    Fever Forward Aliyah Boston scored a new career high 28 points to lead all scorers.

    The Wings led by as many as 16. They improve to 6-19 with the win while the Fever dropped to 11-15. Dallas had lost 17 of their last 19 games before this victory.

    Indiana is now 0-14 when they allow 86 points or more. This was also just the third time this season Dallas scored 100 points or more.

    Indiana doesn’t play until August 16th because of the Olympic break.
