Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving is no stranger to having artists make murals for him, but now, he has a special one in the Philippines that depicts one of his most iconic moments while being in Big D.

On Monday, Philippine artist Maya Carandang revealed the first of 100 basketball court murals expected to be completed in the country. This mural features Irving in a Mavs uniform striking his famous “hand on fire” pose from his left-handed, game-winning floater against the Denver Nuggets on March 17.

"’Uncle Drew’" - 1st of Maya100. Gifting the community with Mural Art and beautification. This bball court is located in Brgy. Pagdaraoan San Fernando La Union Philippines. Very first Basketball Court with Mural Art in La Union Province. 99 Basketball Courts to go and your court could be next,” said Carandang in a post on Instagram.

After that, Carandang made another post inviting Irving to visit the Philippines, and the Mavs star responded warmly, as expected.

“All I needed was an invite,” Irving said. “Next year for sure. Thank you for the LOVE. This is Legendary.”

In one of the latest examples of Irving spreading his basketball knowledge around the world, the star point guard was seen in Greece last week teaching moves to eager kids at the beach .

Irving is still producing at an elite level at 32, as he averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting 49.7 percent from the floor overall, 41.1 percent from deep, and 90.5 percent from the free throw line during the 2023-24 season. As important as that on-court production is, though, we’d argue that the constant good vibes he brings to the team off the court and in the locker room are just as important to the Mavs’ success.

Irving will look to help star running mate Luka Doncic lead the Mavs to their second consecutive NBA Finals appearance this coming season, all while continuing to inspire basketball lovers around the world.
