WEST BRANCH BREAKS INTO THE WIN COLUMN
BELOIT OH- West Branch has been looking for that positive result at the end of their rounds all season. They’ve definitely had their fair share of close calls already this season but haven’t yet cracked the win column. That all changed on Wednesday when they picked up a 194-213 win over EBC rival Carrollton.
New scheme to bolster Boardman’s offense
BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Boardman football team missed the playoffs with a mark of (1-9) in 2023 but the team is relying on a new offensive scheme for the 2024 season. “It makes it easier on me,” said Senior quarterback Zach Haus. “People are way more wide open than last year.”

VALLEY GOLF COURSE – In a thrilling match held at the picturesque Valley Golf Course, Columbiana’s Boys Golf Team emerged victorious over Mineral Ridge with a final score of 168 to 178. The match showcased impressive individual performances and team spirit from both sides, making it a memorable event for players and spectators alike.
CANFIELD GOLF SHOWS OFF IN THEIR INVITATIONAL
BOARDMAN OH- Canfield boys and girls golf teams hosted their annual Canfield Invitational on Monday, and both squads put on a show. The girls’ A team snagged 3rd place out of 12 teams with a score of 324, while Dublin Jerome took the top spot with 291. Canfield’s B team finished with a 391. Aubree Philibin led the A team with a 77, followed by Alexandria Conley (78), Miya Cohol (82), Mia Tisone (87), and Natalie Sawicki (90). For the B team, Lorin Sam shot a 91, Laney Kleeh 94, Grace Carrier 101, and Chloe Leskovac and Cadence Elford each scored 105.
CAMPBELL MEMORIAL FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH ANDREW KING
CAMPBELL OH- Andrew King is back in Campbell for his fourth year coaching the football program. The fourth year is always a fun one to watch, because the freshman that started with him are now seniors in the program. That means these senior leaders are going to be more motivated than ever to get wins for their coach. The Red Devils are a team that is featuring a ton of speed and athleticism this season, and they’re hoping that will give them an advantage. They shift over to the other side of the MVAC this season, and coach King thinks that will lead to some positive things. The sizes of the MVAC Scarlett tier are a lot more comparable to Campbell, and so is the style of play.
