“Chris Bell will be a huge asset to our town,” Mayor Katie Lamb said in a news release. “We’ve had a need for a full-time town manager for some time now, and I truly feel that Chris will do an amazing job given his experience and leadership skills.”

The release states Bell’s 26 years of management experience will be valuable in implementing organizational structures, streamlining processes, building relationships and key partnerships, and facilitating the town’s economy.

“There is something special about Damascus that we just couldn’t find anywhere else,” said Bell. “This town is full of people who feel the same way we do, who are here because they love the outdoors and the small-town sense of community.”

Bell and his family enjoy outdoor adventures, including hiking, kayaking and biking.
