The owner of a Danbury-based tree service business pleaded guilty Monday to tax evasion, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. Bill Makros, 57, didn’t file his federal individual tax returns in the 2016 through 2020 tax years, and failed to pay $140,462 in taxes on approximately $517,000 in net profits, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut Vanessa Roberts Avery said in a news release.
