DANBURY — North Stokes’ rising senior Belle Smith plays both basketball and soccer for the Vikings with soccer being her favorite sport.

She loves the fact that she has grown up near Hanging Rock State Park, with so many things to do there. She enjoys her family, and they are the ones who motivate her to compete in sports the most.

She is looking forward to her senior year of basketball and completing several Forsyth Tech classes to prepare for college. Belle is loyal to her friends and family and will likely be famous for being undefeated in spike ball and corn hole.

Smith has learned that life is not always fair, but that high school sports has helped her connect with teammates and classmates.

She has been a member of the A honor role for the past three years and is a member of the Beta Club and National Honor Society. Smith was voted Northwest 1A All-Conference in soccer. Belle plans to attend Forsyth Technical Community College for two years and then transfer to a four-year college.
