Getting to know Caroline Mabe

DANBURY — North Stokes’ rising senior Caroline Mabe is a three-sport athlete for the Vikings. She plays basketball, softball and volleyball, and her friends and a will to win motivates her in each sport.

Her favorite thing about high school is seeing her friends and mother while looking forward to being on the winning side of each sport she plays. Caroline also wants to be able to zone in on what she will do outside of high school after graduating.

Mabe is an All-County and All-Conference performer in basketball, softball and volleyball. She is a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, and got the highest class average in Civics and AP English this past year at North.

Caroline plans to attend Forsyth Technical Community College for two years and obtain her associate’s degree and then transfer to a university to get her master’s in accounting/business and be CPA certified.

The Stokes News was able to catch up with Caroline and she allowed us to get to know her on a more personal level by answering the following questions:

Biggest Influence: My mom, she is constantly busy doing stuff to better herself and it rubbed off on me

Favorite Day of the Year: June 20th because it’s the longest day of the year

Favorite Ice Cream: Moose Track

Pets: Three dogs and two cats

Favorite Teacher/Coach: Mr. (Nicholas) Brandes because he pushes me to think outside my boundaries and explore things I didn’t know.

Dream Vacation: Lombardy in Northern Italy

Dream Job: Owning an Accounting Firm

Hobbies: Swimming, Reading, and Cooking/Baking

Most likely to be famous for: A silly fall of some sort

Hardest lesson you’ve ever learned: Not everything will be accomplished first try

Favorite athlete: Katie Ledecky because she has dominated her sport entirely

Best thing about you: My discipline
