Danville couple charged with sexual abuse of minor

WASHINGTONVILLE BORO, MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Montour County couple was charged on Wednesday with allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl multiple times.

These encounters allegedly began when the victim was 15 years old.

According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police, these incidents happened at Aikey’s home at the 1000 Block of Front Street in Washingtonville Borough, his Clinton County cabin, and sometimes Aikey’s truck while on drives around Montour County.

It was also stated in the report that Aikey gave the minor marijuana to smoke during some of the reported encounters.

Aikey was allegedly aware of the minor’s age as the minor was friends with Landis’ teenage daughter.

According to the PSP report, Dennis Aikey, 43, of Danville, was charged with 24 felony offenses including statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, corrupting a minor, and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor.

Aikey’s girlfriend, Bethany Landis, 38, of Danville, was also charged with five felony offenses including sexual and indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor, unlawful contact with a minor, and corrupting a minor.

Aikey is being held at Montour County Prison while Landis is being held at Columbia County Prison.
