(Cincinnati): Cheer on Cincy Rec’s future generation of Lifeguards at CRC’s Junior Guard Olympics on Saturday, July 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM at Ryan Pool. For the past 6 weeks, CRC’s award-winning Junior Lifeguard program has provided the building blocks and training for youths 11 to 14 to master the Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. Over 70 Junior Guards will compete in water and on land to display the skills they have learned and honed over the summer months. Junior guards compete for the gold in events mirroring Red Cross certifications, adult CPR, active victim, water tread, brick retrieval, kick relay, and more. APPLETON − A strong fall sports season helped carry the Xavier athletics program to the WSN Cup for the second consecutive school year. Xavier finished as the top Small School in the annual competition by Wisconsin Sports Network with 733.11 points. The Hawks' WIAA Division 2 state titles in girls volleyball and girls cross-country was supplemented by a fourth-place finish at state girls golf and a state quarterfinal berth by the football team.
