    Dirt bike driver allegedly fails to yield, hits cruiser: MCSO

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A crash involving a sheriff’s deputy is under investigation in Dayton.

    The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports authorities were notified around 10:53 a.m. by a deputy of a reported crash at West Fairview and Ravenwood avenues in Dayton.

    A preliminary investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office shows the deputy was driving east on W. Fairview Avenue and approached the intersection at Ravenwood Avenue. Allegedly, a male on a dirt bike is accused of failing to yield the right of way when turning left. It is reported that the driver collided with the cruiser.

    Although the deputy was not hurt, the dirt bike operator suffered “minor injuries.” The man was treated and released art the scene.

    The crash remains under investigation.
