    Flames spread to 2 additional Dayton homes

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews battle a structure fire for more than two hours in Dayton.

    Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told 2 NEWS firefighters were sent at 2:38 p.m. to the 100 block of Delaware Avenue in Dayton.

    The fire broke out at a vacant house. Dispatch told 2 NEWS flames were seen coming through the roof.

    At the scene, 2 NEWS Reporter Sartaj Singh saw flames at the location, as well as spreading to two neighboring homes. The families in both of those homes were able to get out safely. Fire crews said a dog was treated on the scene.

    Three firefighters were also treated on the scene for heat exhaustion. At this time the fire has been contained, but crews continue to put out embers. The fire has been deemed “suspicious.”

    Smoke from the area became visible around 3 p.m. on two cameras of the Storm Team 2 Live Cam Network.
