DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Residents in the city of Dayton could be eligible for trees to be planted outside of their residence.

The city is offering street trees to be planted outside of homes. According to the city, the trees are required to be planted in the public right-of-way.

What to do if EBT/SNAP fraud happens to you

The sites of the trees have meet the following requirements:

    • At least 3 feet deep
    • At least 10 feet from both overhead and underground utilities
    • At least 25 feet from intersections and stop signs

If you believe your yard fits the prerequisites, a city of Dayton forester will visit your address to make a decision on if your location qualifies. If it does, your address will be added to the city’s planting list.
