ARLINGTON, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) welcomed several baby critters to its Wildlife Resource Center at the start of the week.

On Monday, the nonprofit posted on the X platform saying that it had taken in a baby squirrel.

“Though we offered him formula, all he wanted to do was nibble on this acorn!” AWLA’s post said.

AWLA said that the squirrel is in a rehabber’s care until he gets old enough for re-release.

Two more babies also needed the Wildlife Resource Center’s help — in a post on Tuesday, AWLA said that two orphaned baby foxes from different areas came in on Monday as well.

AWLA said that the babies needed “immediate care” — once they had their fill of baby food, they were also sent to a rehabber for care until they could be re-released.
