Senate candidate Dave McCormick makes stop in Elk County

ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick visited St. Mary’s on Wednesday.

He stopped at Metco Industries , a company that manufactures powdered metal, to tour their plant. McCormick got the opportunity to learn about powdered metal and called it a terrific opportunity for him to meet the workforce and learn about the company.

He added that businesses, like Metco, are the key to the commonwealth’s economy.

“This is the key to Pennsylvania’s economy are these kinds of businesses growing jobs. This business has grown almost double the number of employees over the last decade. That’s what we need to make Pennsylvania strong,” McCormick added.

The visit was part of his 67-county tour to meet key business leaders across the Commonwealth.
