    List: Tropical Depression Debby forces school closures, delays in Virginia

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — As Tropical Depression Debby surges across the DMV bringing power outages and floodwaters, several school districts have announced closures and delays for Friday.

    Virginia

    Alexandria City Public Schools: Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School students and all Alexandria Public Schools offices will open two hours late. Officials said all essential workers should report on time and non-essential workers should report two hours late.

    Culpeper County Public Schools: The school district announced that all schools and officers are closed and scheduled activities are canceled.

    Spotsylvania County Public Schools: Officials said all schools will open two hours late on Friday for Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade Transition Day. The ECSE PM program will start at 12:30 p.m. All 12-month and essential employees should report to work on time.
