SILVER SPRING, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Montgomery County arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy for shooting and injuring someone in Silver Spring in February.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that on Feb. 2, a man and his son were moving things from one car to another on Hartford Avenue.

MCPD said that four suspects got out of another car and approached the two before trying to steal the man’s car. A fight started, and the man was shot in the head and the abdomen. The four suspects left in the car they originally arrived in after the shooting.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
