DC man arrested for July fatal shooting, police say

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Police on Tuesday said they arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in Northeast D.C. last month.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the reports of a shooting in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE just before 3 a.m. on July 12. Officers found 26-year-old Danzell Hall suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Over a month later, MPD said they arrested 41-year-old Michael Grayton of Northeast D.C. and charged him with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).
