    Stafford County deputies want to know if you’re missing a parrot

    STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Deputies from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to a home for a parrot and is looking for its owner.

    The bird, dubbed Katy Parrot by the homeowners, was found on Sunday afternoon at a home on Beagle Road, SCSO said.

    Deputies were called to the residence when the homeowners reported finding Katy Parrot. The homeowners said Katy Parrot flew onto their back deck and came into their home.

    “We are hoping someone is missing The One that Got Away and will call the Animal Shelter to claim Katy Parrot!” SCSO stated in a post on Facebook.

    One Facebook user commented on SCSO’s Facebook post wishing Katy Parrot would find its way home.

    “Hopefully Katy will be singing her way home soon,” the user commented.
