    Ways to stay clean with back-to-school hygiene tips

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Dr. Maislyn Christie, Chief Medical Doctor of Amerigroup DC, stopped at the DC News Now studio to discuss hygiene tips for kids going back to school.

    She said that generally when kids go back to school they are around more crowds making them more likely to catch contagious illnesses.

    Getting vaccines, proper rest and nutrition are some ways to keep kids healthy during the school season.

    Dr. Christie said parents can teach their kids hygiene tips such as good hand washing, keeping their hands out of their face and telling them to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze.
