Hagerstown anticipates opening of new downtown brewpub

HAGERSTOWN, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A new brewpub is coming to downtown Hagerstown.

Hub City Brewing is set to open next week.

The venture will be a combination brewery, distillery, winery and cidery. City leaders said the new addition will grow the area’s so-called arts and entertainment district.

“They’re going to have daytime and evening activities,” said Chris Siemerling, economic development specialist for the city. “They have plans for live entertainment there every once in a while and even some concepts planned for learning how to brew your own batches.”
