    Award-winning Renée Elise Goldsberry opening at Virginia Tech’s Moss Center

    BLACKSBURG, Va. ( WFXR ) – Tony and Grammy award-winning actress and singer Renée Elise Goldsberry will open Virginia Tech’s Moss Art Center’s 2024-2025 season on Friday, September 13, at 7:30 p.m.

    Goldsberry will open Moss’s season with her performance of Broadway Hits and American classics. She won a Tony and a Grammy for her groundbreaking role as Angelica Schuyler in Broadway’s “ Hamilton ” and earned an Emmy for Disney+’s take on the musical.

    Her roles include “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks”, “Rent,” “The Color Purple,” “The Lion King,” “Dreamgirls,” and the play “Good People” and currently stars in Tina Fey’s Netflix sitcom, “ Girls5Eva .”

    Tickets for her upcoming performance range from $40-$85 for the general audience while students and youth ages 18 and under can buy tickets for $10. You can purchase tickets online at the Moss Arts Centers’s box which is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday or by calling 540-231-5300.

    Goldsberry’s performance will occur in the Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre, located within the Street and Davis Performance Hall at 190 Alumni Mall. Close parking is on the North End Parking Garage on Turner Street and the Blacksburg downtown area.
