WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Educators may be able to snag some free coffee this month in time for back-to-school season.

Wawa announced that from Sept. 2 until Sept. 15, teachers and school staff in Maryland, Virginia Washington D.C., and along with some other states will have the opportunity to redeem a free any-size hot coffee.

The offer is a part of the company’s “Cheers to Classrooms” initiative and is valid in-store only, not on the Wawa app or other through delivery services.

To receive their free coffee, educators simply need to inform the cashier that they are members of a local school system.

“As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of September,” said Dave Simonetti, senior director of store operations at Wawa. “We hope this small gesture shows our deep appreciation for everything educators and school staff do for children in the community.”
