    Bowie International Festival returning to Allen Pond Park with food, music, cultural adventure

    BOWIE, Md. ( DC News Now ) — If you are looking to learn about different cultures from around the globe, the International Festival is returning to Bowie with a day full of fun.

    From traditional dances to food highlighting Asian and Caribbean flavors, the city is inviting the community to join the cultural adventure on Sept. 14 at Allen Pond Park.

    Whether you are representing the Caribbean, Native American heritage, Europe, the Middle East or your home country, the festival features music, unique crafts and interactive activities.

    Hispanic Heritage Month cultural festivities coming to Prince George’s County

    Attendees can enjoy vibrant performances including Indian dances, African drumming, Bolivian, European and Indigenous American music. The community can also expect to see mariachi and reggae bands.

    During the festival, children can embark on a trip around the world with their “passports” while diving into crafts, stories and games from different cultures.

    Organizers said vendors will also be present with artisan crafts, including African folklore books and unique handmade items from various countries.
