Gibson Fire burns near Silt
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - A brush fire took off Wednesday but is now near containment. Firefighters went to the scene of a two-acre brush fire near Gibson Gulch/Divide Creek. Crews with the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management unit went to the scene and an aircraft was also ordered to assist with the job. Colorado River Fire and Rescue was also called in to help because of the fire burning close to private lands.
