Two churches on the South Side are making Chicago proud.Salem and Progressive Baptist churches started a pilot program to help improve the reading skills of young Black boys. Northern Indiana – A frontal boundary will sag south across northern Indiana today, resulting in a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms may produce gusty winds over 40 mph this afternoon, primarily south of US Route 6. The National Weather Service reports that the chance of thunderstorms will linger tonight, particularly south of US Route 24, before dry conditions return for the end of the work week.
