    Paddle Georgia State Parks, Earn Cool Swag

    When most people think of Georgia state parks, they focus on hiking, camping and seeing the many natural wonders that abound in these protected lands.

    But there's another way to see many of Georgia's state parks: from the water. And joining the Georgia Parks Paddlers club can help you explore the waterway wonders and score an exclusive member t-shirt.

    Many of Georgia's state parks include scenic waterways and lakes to explore, for both seasoned paddlers and not-too-wet-behind-the-ears beginners. Your always welcomed to bring your own 'yak, or you can take advantage of rental opportunities at many park locations. Stand-up paddle boards are welcome, too.

    Anyone can join the Georgia Park Paddlers onlin by paying a $20 membership fee. Members receive a members-only t-shirt. And, members who paddle at 12 of Georgia's state parks paddlers can earn a special super-paddler certificate from the club after paddling at 12 of the 31 participating state parks.

    Participating state parks are spread across the state, and include parks from AH Stephens to Watson Mill Bridge. Find more information at the Georgia State Parks park paddlers website.
