Body found at defunct car dealership in downtown Augusta
Augusta officials are investigating a suspicious death outside a defunct car dealership in downtown. Richmond County sheriff's Sgt. Walter McNeil said via a news release that deputies responded at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday to what was Johnson Cadillac at 1122 Walton Way, where they found the body of someone who had been dead for several days.

North Augusta man faces charges in alleged shooting death of man found in Aiken shed
An arrest has been made for the alleged shooting death of 22-year-old Jalen Jones, who was found dead in an Aiken shed. ATF Rage Task Force and Richmond County sheriff's deputies this week arrested Jaquaez Bibbs, 28, of North Augusta, in the Augusta area. Aiken Department of Public Safety Lt. Jennifer Hayes said via news release that Bibbs' charges include murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
