DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — A man who the Decatur Police Department (DPD) considered ‘armed and dangerous’ has turned himself in Saturday afternoon.

Officers with DPD responded to a shooting at a Chevron gas station in Decatur on Sunday, July 7 at around 8:43 p.m.

Once they arrived on the scene, officers said they found two people who were shot. The two individuals were sent to Huntsville Hospital to get treated for their non-life threatening injuries.

DPD says an occupied vehicle and an occupied residence were also hit with gunfire.

While investigating the case, DPD made Amreion Jamall Lampkin a suspect and a warrant for first-degree assault was obtained for his arrest.

Lampkin later turned himself into DPD on Saturday, July 14 and was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.

Lampkin was booked into the Morgan County Jail with a bond set at $25,000.
