DECATUR, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Decatur Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division arrested a woman after an argument led to her stabbing a man on Saturday.

DPD officers were called to the 600 block of 3rd Ave. SW Saturday, July 20, around 11:30 p.m. Officers say when they arrived, they found a man who seemed to be suffering from a stab wound.

The man was transported to Huntsville Hospital where officers say he is in stable condition.

The department says detectives with the criminal investigation division were called to the scene. During the investigation, 27-year-old Alyveya Karlik Langford-Banks was arrested for stabbing the man during an argument.

Langford was charged with first-degree domestic violence. She was booked into the Morgan County Jail on July 21 at 5:07 a.m.
