Former Douglas County judge files motion to have nightclub arrest charges dropped
ATLANTA - Former Douglas County Judge Christina Peterson is seeking to have charges stemming from her recent arrest in Fulton County dismissed. Peterson was booked into jail last month following an altercation with Atlanta police at a nightclub in Buckhead. She faces charges of simple battery and felony obstruction for allegedly punching an officer.

Two People Shot From Vehicle in Oakland City Area
On Saturday, July 20th, at approximately 11:16 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 4 officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1335 Dorsey St. SW in the Oakland City area. Upon arrival, officers found a 40-year-old female with a gunshot wound and a 67-year-old male with a possible graze injury. The female victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while the male victim did not require medical treatment or transport.
