DECHERD, Tenn. (WKRN) — A southern Middle Tennessee elected official has been arrested in connection with a fatal overdose in Franklin County.
According to 12th Judicial District Attorney Courtney Lynch, Justin Stubblefield and his wife, Paige, have been charged with drug-related offenses tied to two 2022 overdose deaths.
Lynch’s office began investigating after William Horton and Myles Kincaid died April 21, 2022, in Franklin County. New information was uncovered by Decherd Police investigators working with the Drug Task Force (DTF).
Based on the investigation, DTF agents charged Decherd Alderman Justin Stubblefield and his wife with one count of conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone, which is a Schedule II controlled substance. Justin was also charged with one count of money laundering based on the financial transactions that occurred during the alleged distribution of the drug, according to the district attorney.
The Stubblefields were arrested Tuesday, July 9, and booked into the Franklin County Jail.
