Warner Bros. Discovery has seemingly wiped Cartoon Network from the internet in its latest attempt at consolidating its massive library and trove of subscribers to Max .

The Cartoon Network website was previously home to several shows and clips, with complete episodes from Adventure Time , Teen Titans GO! and several other classics and animated series. Now, the website features a message urging users to stream Cartoon Network programs on Max.

Boomerang Cartoon Streaming Service To Be Absorbed By Max

“Looking for episodes of your favorite Cartoon Network shows? Check out what’s available to stream on Max (subscription required). Sign up for Max, where you can also create a kids profile with ratings restrictions and additional privacy protections to keep it fun and kid-friendly!” the message reads.

A spokesperson for Cartoon Network told Entertainment Weekly , “We are focusing on the Cartoon Network shows and social media where we find consumers are the most engaged and there is a meaningful potential for growth.”

The spokesperson also noted that Cartoon Network’s programming can still be streamed on the connected apps and on cable television, where fans can “enjoy 11 hours of their favorite Cartoon Network series from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.”

This comes just days after Warner Bros. Discovery also shuttered the cartoon streaming service Boomerang, which featured classic animated series such as Scooby-Doo , Looney Tunes , Tom and Jerry , The Flintstones and Courage the Cowardly Dog .

The Boomerang app also features a similar message to what’s listed on the Cartoon Network website.

“As of September 30, 2024, the Boomerang app and website will no longer be available,” the streamer announced. “Starting September 30, you can watch fan-favorite Boomerang shows alongside Max’s full catalog of iconic series, hit movies, fresh originals, breaking news, and family favorites.”

Boomerang subscribers will migrate to Max’s ad-free subscription for six months for the same price of a Boomerang subscription at $5.99 a month.

It appears that the company is consolidating all of its animated content into one streaming library. The company recently reported a whopping net loss of almost $10 billion.

Warner Bros. Discovery underwent a corporate restructuring in 2022 in which the company merged Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios, meaning the entities share “development and main production teams.”
