NORTH AURORA, Ill. (CBS) -- The tornado total from the storms Sunday and Monday night is growing—with even more surveying under way.The National Weather Service has now confirmed 18 tornadoes in Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana between the storms Sunday and Monday night.One of those 18 tornadoes cut a path through North Aurora. Quantum Arranges $8.5 Million Sale of Retail Center in St. Charles, Illinois
St. Charles, Ill. — Quantum Real Estate Advisors Inc. has arranged the $8.5 million sale of a 47,000-square-foot retail center in St. Charles, approximately 40 miles west of Chicago. At the time of sale, the property was 97 percent leased to tenants including Syrup, Consume Cannabis, CD One Price and La Huerta Market. Brett Berlin of Quantum represented the seller, an Illinois-based developer. A private group of investors based in Illinois and New Jersey acquired the center.

Final Pleasant Prairie Threshing Bee to be held this month
After 25 years, Nick Foster will hold the final Pleasant Prairie Threshing Bee on July 27. Foster is the president of the Greene County Historical Society, a farmer in Jefferson, and he collects antique tractors and farming equipment. Foster described a threshing machine as essentially a stationary combine that separates the grain from the stalk and chaff.

14-year-old boy charged with 6 carjackings, 6 robberies on North Side, West Loop
CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy has been charged with 14 felonies in connection with a violent crime spree on Sunday, as well as an attempted hijacking in June. The boy was part of a group that carjacked and robbed four people in the 1900 block of West Irving Park around 5:40 a.m. Sunday, according to CPD. As CWBChicago reported that morning, a carjacker driving a white car pulled in front of the victim’s Mazda CX3 to block their path, and two gunmen got out, took the victims’ valuables, and then drove away with the Mazda. CPD said the victims were two 22-year-old men and a man and a woman who were both 21.
