    Defiance common pleas

    Kobe Cutlip, 19, Melrose, appeared for sentencing on a charge of burglary, a second-degree felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony. He was given a prison term of four years, 11 months to six years and 11 months with credit for 58 days served in jail while his case was pending, and ordered to pay $21 restitution to the victim. According to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office, Cutlip and a co-defendant, Clinton Vanscoder, trespassed in a residence on Defiance’s Darbyshire Drive on Jan. 9 to commit a theft offense.

    Clinton Vanscoder, 20, Holgate, appeared for sentencing on a charge of burglary, a third-degree felony. He was placed on community control for three years and ordered to pay $21 in restitution to the victim. He and a co-defendant, Kobe Cutlip (see above) trespassed at a residence on Defiance’s Darbyshire Drive on Jan. 9.

    Alexander Estrada, 25, 1888 Maumee Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony, and was placed on community control for two years.

    James Hicks, 26, Montpelier, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony, and was placed on community control for two years.

    Joe Mendez Jr., 19, 1221 Ayersville Ave., appeared for sentencing on a charge of felonious assault, a second-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was placed on community control for four years with conditions, including that he complete the SEARCH program. He caused, or attempted to cause, physical harm to a family or household member at a residence on Defiance’s Moss Street on Dec. 23, and also caused serious physical harm to another person at the residence.

    Lesley Quarles, 44, Bryan, appeared for sentencing on a charge of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, and was placed on community control for two years.

    Anita Sanchez, 65, 32 Fifth St., appeared for sentencing on a charge of illegal use of supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits or WIC program benefits, a fifth-degree felony. She was placed on community control for one year, and ordered to pay $163.46 in restitution to the Defiance/Paulding Consolidated Job and Family Services agency.

    Michael Vasko, 41, Orient, appeared for sentencing on two counts of of importuning, each a fifth-degree felony. He was given a 22-month prison term to be served consecutive to a term imposed in Wood County Common Pleas Court, with credit for seven days served in jail while his case was pending. A 2016 Green Jeep Wrangler also was forfeited to the Defiance Police Department and he was classified as a Tier I sexual offender. On Oct. 22-23, in Defiance County, Vasko solicited an undercover police officer, posing as a 14-year-old female online, to engage in sexual activity, and arranged to meet the other person at a local park.

    Shanda Bullinger, 45, Paulding, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and her bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 27.

    Jamey Davis, 48, Oakwood, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 25.

    Jacqueline Hohenberger, 52, 419 Douglas St., pleaded guilty to failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony; and escape, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and her bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 24.

    Jaylen Rollins, 20, Fayette, pleaded guilty to burglary, a second-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and her bond was continued. Sentencing was set for July 1.

    Tanya Smith, 47, Bloomville, pleaded guilty to two counts of non-support of dependents, each a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and her bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 27.

    Onan Van Camp, 21, Hicksville, pleaded guilty to assault, endangering children and resisting arrest, each a first-degree misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and the defendant’s bond was continued. Sentencing was scheduled for June 10.

    Stephanie Bell, 40, Muncie, Ind., pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 4 and bond was set at $10,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Matthew Costanzo, 38, Bryan, pleaded not guilty to failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 12 and bond was set at $50,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Edwin Farbrother III, 37, 07640 Ohio 15, pleaded not guilty to four counts of importuning, each a fifth-degree felony; and one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 6 and bond was set at $25,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Nathan Gallant, 32, Stryker, (CCNO), pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 3 and bond was set at $50,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Michael Green, 43, Carmel, Ind., pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 29 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Dustin Jones, 31, Stryker (CCNO) pleaded not guilty to failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and bond was set at $25,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Jeffery Mansfield, 44, Holgate, pleaded not guilty to failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 3 and bond was set at $100,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Joshua Polanco, 21, pleaded not guilty to three counts of failure to provide notice of change of vehicle information or indentifiers, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 10 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Simon Ramirez Jr., 66, 920 Karnes Ave. pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 4 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    David Ratliff, 32, Stryker (CCNO) pleaded not guilty to rape, a first-degree felony; and kidnapping, a second-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and bond was set at $500,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Ryan Thompson, 30, Sherwood, pleaded not guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 6 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Levi Socha, 23, Stryker (CCNO) pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 29 and bond was set at $10,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Tammy Vibbert, 53, 1520 Mustang Drive, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 12 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Anthony Young, 20, Stryker (CCNO), pleaded not guilty to failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for June 3 and bond was set at $250,000 with a 10% allowance provision.
