Four Cap City Cougars received All-Badger Conference honors for girls’ hockey.

Senior Sun Prairie East defenseman Brooke Ayers was the lone Cougar to be placed on the first team.

Cap City’s Kaitlyn Nelson, a senior Sun Prairie East forward, was picked for the second team.

Among those receiving honorable mention were Waunakee junior Caroline Cutrano and DeForest freshman goalie Sofia Martinelli.

The rest of the first team included Roc County’s Sophia Young (defense), Emma Kligora (forward) and Jillian Traver (goalie), the Metro Lynx’s Emma Stebbeds (forward) and Karsen Nicksic (Lightning). Kligora was named the Player of the Year, while Rock County’s Luke Steurer was voted as Coach of the Year.
