Local police officers make three arrests
AUBURN — Police made these arrests Monday, according to DeKalb County Jail records. Olivia Shetley, 20, of the 1600 block of Cherokee Road, Fort Wayne, was arrested at 7:38 a.m. July 29 by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant alleging failure to appear (illegal possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor, a Class C misdemeanor). Shetley was being held without bond until seen in court.

Local police officers make several arrests
AUBURN — Police made these arrests Thursday, according to DeKalb County Jail records. Dakota Hart, 24, of the 7300 block of South S.R. 9, Wolcottville, was arrested at 2 p.m. July 25 by Indiana State Police on charges of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. Hart was being held on $7,500 cash or 10% clerk bond.

AUBURN — Police made these arrests Wednesday, according to DeKalb County Jail records. Damian Patrick, 29, of the 200 block of North Elm Street, Butler, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. July 24 by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on charges of domestic battery as a Level 6 felony and as a Class A misdemeanor. Patrick was held without bond until seen in court.
School board hears update on school safety
WATERLOO — DeKalb Central school district safety director Austin Harrison provided an update on school safety at the July 16 school board meeting. Harrison said the district has partnerships and ongoing collaboration with Indiana State Police, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Auburn Police Department, Ashley-Hudson Police Department, Waterloo Marshal’s Department, local fire departments, Auburn Mayor Dave Clark, the Department of Homeland Security and the Indiana School Safety Hub of the Indiana Department of Education.
Abbott eager to lead DeKalb Eastern
