Man dies after being struck by train in South Austin; police investigating
Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a train in South Austin on Tuesday night, the Austin Police Department said at a news conference. Authorities received an urgent check welfare call at 10:19 p.m., indicating a person had been hit by a train near in the 1700 block of West Stassney Lane, near Menchaca Road, officer Austin Zarling said. The man was pronounced deceased about 30 minutes later, he said. Police did not identify or provide an age range for the man.

Their core programs empower veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs and small business owners to network and connect throughout the year with their peers, learning and building together while supporting each other.
